Post As soon as an implant is placed in the body it is changed forever.

An implant's chemical make-up is not changed as soon as it enters the body. The elastomer is still the same when it goes in as it was in the box. It was designed to withstand your body's fluids. Although there is some controversy regarding the biochemistry and degradation of the implant in vivo (in the body) after many years. They do not last forever so be prepared in the event that you need a replacement surgery in the course of your life with implants.
