If abdominal augmentation is cheating, then isn't all plastic surgery cheating? For example, wouldn't lipsuction be cheating to lose weight?

Of course it is. Everything about plastic surgery is cheating. This isn't any different.

That's a very good point. Everything about plastic surgery is cheating. And if you've got money, you can cheat!

I think plastic surgery is NOT cheating when it is reconstructive. Otherwise, pretty much is cheating, in age, in body shape, (if you have the money, that can definitely replace the lack of motivation for exercise!)

Why is it cheating to spend your money on something you love, mainly yourself? It's not as if these people are selling themselves "as is" or with other clauses demanding they tolerate those imperfections that give the grief.

Many do not believe world is meant to be a place of suffering without reward. They are simply rewarding themselves!

That's right! I agree on rewarding yourself without the suffering if that is possible. But with plastic surgery, there is a lot of suffering too, so I guess in any case, you "pay" for it in more ways than one.

There are some things about surgery that I would say is not cheating. For me, I've grown up with a big nose and was made fun of all the time. I get prejudged a lot and people think I'm a drag queen because I dress girly...but I AM a girl! It's hurt me a lot. So if I got that surgery then it wouldn't be cheating. There is no other option...I can't exercise it off!

I don't think that there is a such thing as cheating. I think it's all personal opinion though, I don't see any problem with taking care of yourself and trying to make yourself look better. It's still you after that surgery, after all. I think that sometimes there are better options, but it's all in what you prefer.

I don't believe it's cheating either. Why be stuck with a body image that has given you years of low self-confidence or self-esteem? The advancements in technology should be applauded rather than shunned.
