I am scheduled for brachioplasty on Dec. 21st,I have lost 165lbs.I am
not too concerned with the scars.I am looking forward to having arms
that are not saggy and wrinkly.Anyone with the armpit to elbow incision?Any advice or something you wish someonewould have told you?

Yes - I can tell you EXACTLY what to do afterwards and that is DO NOTHING. Make sure you have adequate help afterwards or be alone - do not try to clean litter boxes, keep your house neat, wait on other people, etc. Keep your arms elevated, watch TV, read but do not do dumb things like load the dishwasher, put someone else's ironing board away, etc.... for many days. Think of yourself - and only you - and you will not get infected or have swelling & can wear your garment. Good luck & remember - you come first!!! It is not a bad surgical procedure and you will probably feel pretty good afterwards & that was my mistake. Incisions did not hurt, pain was quite minimal. I would do it again in a heartbeat, had a wonderful Dr. - but it is major surgery.

I had my TT on 9/13 and my arm liftw/ lipo on 9/20. The one thing I wasn't prepared for was the amount of swelling involved. My left arm was doing well, but my right arm was really swollen and tight: bigger than before surgery! I developed a seroma in that arm and 1 week later my Dr drained it. It didn't hurt because the arm was still numb. It's been a slow start, but I can see the difference and I'm loving my results. The main thing to have is a little patience if you encounter a setback.

also had this procedure done in April. Healing is going well except for some swelling. May have to have some touch-up lipo eventually but it will be
a while before I will know. Hardly any pain. Good as new now! Feel great!

I would say to make sure that you have some time off from work after it is done, so that you can rest your arms. Even desk jobs will invlove using your arms.
