Default Brachioplasty/Arm Lift Garment Question

I am 10 days post brachioplasty and facelift. I still need support in my upper arms and the bandages are not cutting it. The nurse told me to buy myself a shirt with tight arms, but I can't find such an animal short of not breathing since in order for the arms to be tight, the chest has to be tiny. I looked into garments on the Internet and they are quite pricey. From someone who has been out longer than I, do I need the garment long-term to invest some money on a garment, or should I just hunt down a tight shirt to use only for the next few weeks? How important is it that I use a garment for say 3, 6 or 9 months? Will my end result be better than not using anything? Frankly it feels better with something tight around it rather than without. Thank you

you should definitely get the "compression sleeves" for your post surgery. It will make all the difference. I will try to find the company/website from the place I purchased mine and get back to you.

I purchased the compression sleeves, as well. I purchased them off the internet and they were quite reasonable. If you're interested, I can hunt down the name of the company. Otherwise, just do a search for compression sleeves on the web and I'm sure you'll find some that are reasonably priced. Someone mentioned to me that they had used men's knee high dress socks. She cut off the foot and used them as compression sleeves. She said she purchased them at Walmart so they were pretty cheap. She indicated they fit tightly on her arms and seemed to do the job. It's certainly something to consider. And, they're probably under $5.00, so you don't have much to lose!

Are the compression sleeves really only $5.00? That's great.

I wouldn't want to get them from Walmart, though, because usually their stuff isn't good quality.
