I have had similar operations, starting with the brachioplasty. It was restrictive, incisions were sore, arms swelled and were quite sore for the first few days, but well worth it. The improvement is remarkable. I went from 17" circumference (of flab) down to 12". Just keep your arms elevated as much as possible. I slept in a cushy arm chair with big pillows on the arms for the first few weeks. It was much more comfortable for me that way, and my DH moves around too much in bed and I was afraid of his accidentally bumping and hurting me.

Im quite chubby myself but i just dont have the time for anything too big, i might just find something small thats takes as fewer days as possible to recover from. Might cheer my wife up a bit if i was a bit less flabby round the chest

heres a section i found on a brief description of arm lifts

Upper Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)
An arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm. With age, upper arm skin can become loose and flabby. Plastic surgeons will discuss brachioplasty with patients who want to tighten this skin and look as good as they feel. In some cases your plastic surgeon may suggest that liposuction be used alone or in conjunction with an arm lift to remove excess fat in the upper arms.
