The cost of brachioplasty surgery can vary depending on a patient’s geographic location, the length and complexity of a procedure, the surgeon who is performing the procedure, and a patient’s method of payment. The geographic location of a patient may influence the cost of brachioplasty. The complexity of an individual’s surgical needs will also determine the cost of brachioplasty surgery. Surgeon’s fees and a variety of other variables will also greatly affect the cost of brachioplasty surgery.

National averages provide a starting point for considering the cost of brachioplasty surgery. According to the American Society for the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the average cost of brachioplasty surgery in 2003 was a little over three thousand dollars. Because the results are long lasting, patients do not generally need to take into account additional surgeries when determining the cost of brachioplasty. The national average estimates do not take into account a number of other related costs for brachioplasty.

In addition to the cost of brachioplasty surgery itself, there are related costs involved. Anesthesia fees are not included in the actual cost of brachioplasty surgery and typically average $300 to $800. Facility fees may also apply to the total cost of brachioplasty. This cost depends on whether the surgery is performed in a hospital, surgical center, or doctor’s office and averages between $600 and $1900. Other fees which may factor into the overall cost of brachioplasty include those for medical and laboratory tests, prescription medications, surgical supplies, and after care services.
