Just adding an update here for anyone considering the minimal incision arm lift (incision in the armpit instead of down the back of the upper arm). I had my surgery on 7/27 so I'm nearly 3 months P.O.
All bruising and soreness is long gone (from the lipo). I think my arms are now nearly to how they'll "really" look and that almost all of the swelling is gone. They are not thin arms and they still wiggle a bit, but they are SO much better than they were and so much more in proportion--you can see my muscles now! I had a tummy tuck too but I think it's from the arms alone that everyone thinks I've lost weight--amazing what a difference it makes. The incisions are still very prominent. Kind of a dark pink and wider in some areas than others. I'm trying various lotions and potions and scar strips to see what difference I can make. The inside sutures have STILL not dissolved so I can feel them through the skin at the back and there's some puckering when I lift my arms up (which I still can't lift allll the way up, but it's better every week). One funny benefit is that I barely sweat under my arms now (since she removed a few sweatglands while she was in there). And I have such a tiny area to shave now since a good portion of the hair area is now gone! |

congrats on your procedure. So what did you have done in 1 surgery session? Only a TT and arm lift? I have lost over 100lbs and I am looking into a TT, thigh lift, arm lift and possibly a breast lift.
If you did have the TT and arm lift together, was it hard to get around and do things sine your lower and upper body where recovering? Also do you have before and after pics? Thanks for your help. |

No pics yet, haven't had time to develop/scan any. I had just the TT and the arms done. The arms never caused me too much trouble. Reaching and stretching was difficult but I could still use them to push myself up and out of the recliner--from what I've read on the TT board, I didn't have any more trouble getting around than the average TT patient.
