Dermatix Silicone Gel??

Has anyone been prescribed Dermatix Silicone Gel? If yes how did you get on with it?
Went to see my PS on Monday, he was really happy with the scar and has prescribed the above. Got me to go to my own GP so that I could get it on Prescription. £30 + over the counter £4 on Prescription so I was really pleased about that.
Started using it 2 days ago so I will let you know how I get on with that. It is supposed to lighten the scar very similar to the silicone sheets that they all rave about in the states.
Go back to see my PS in September when he will take PO pictures for his files and I will be discharged. He is fab! Still have to wear the big pants until next Friday - 6 weeks PO. Then I will be off back to keep fit and Salsa lessons. Feel completely back to normal in myself except for the swelling but that can take up to 12 months or more to get back to normal so I will have to be patient.

I'm glad you are happy with the gel. I have never been prescribed it. I usually don't scar to badly though.
