I personally felt tired for a while. Even though the real pain was gone by about 4 or 5 days, the tiredness was pretty extreme...it took all the energy out of me, but that has alot to do with the anesthesia and pain meds and muscle relaxants, not just because you have had a BA. I would say that my energy really started to come back to about 100% after about a month post-op...but I still was somewhat better in the energy department overall at about 1 1/2 weeks post-op, so you should start feeling more energy gradually...just be patient and take care of yourself...consider this some "pamper time" for yourself right now.

I remember wanting to take a nap every afternoon for the first 2 weeks. At three weeks, I was allowed to go and work out my lower body. Then at 6 weeks I was allowed to work out my upper body.

I had twinges of pain here and there and also back discomfort for the first 5 months. That has all left and I am now 6 months PO.

You should gradually get better every day.

God - I am so comforted by your back pain comment (but sorry for you).
I am about 3.5 mos out and my back still does not feel as flexible or good as it did b4. Better all the time - but it really took the brunt of the awkward positions I was in for a while, esp sleeping - and my bad posture right after the BA..

I am just 4 weeks post op and I am starting to feel better. I have 2 children and found it very difficult to heal while taking care of them. I also felt more sore week 2 and Miki replied to my post that it was the nerves growing back which made me feel so much better. My BA was my first Plastic surgery however I had non-elective surgery a couple times and I find when your body is healing a lot more sleep is needed.

I felt pretty much like my old self at 3 weeks. Don't forget- it is surgery, a shock to your body, and healing takes time. REGARDS, dAWN

That's a long time to feel tired. Maybe you spent so much time resting that your body has lost it's stamina? Have you checked with your doctor to make sure everything is okay?
