Default How do you know if an implant is leaking???

I had my BA on 11/1, so I am slightly over 1 month PO. I went with 400cc saline high profile implants from Mentor. I also went under the muscle and have the incision in my navel.

My surgery and recovery went ridiculously well - my breasts were already dropped very nicely at one week PO...of course they still had a bit more to drop, but my PS was shocked at how quickly they settled into place. They got much softer rather quickly due to frequent massage that my PS had me do. They are even now feeling like a "Part" of me, and I didn't expect that for a few months at least. Overall I have been thrilled, thrilled, thrilled with my surgery...however...I feel like my right breast is slightly smaller than the left now - not enough to be a huge deal, but I am worried that it might be leaking and my fear is what it will look like if it continues to leak...won't be "cute" if this happens IMHO! Also, I feel more of the implant "squishing" on that side - like I can really feel the funny slight "popping" of the casing, etc., whereas I don't feel it on the left. Now, to be fair, I was just a "smidge" bigger on the left side prior to my BA, but just barely. I don't have any current pics and don't even think you would be able to tell just from a picture, but I feel like the right is a touch smaller. Can an implant start leaking so soon after surgery? (Maybe that is a dumb question?) Is there any way to KNOW if an implamt is leaking? I have a follow-up w/ my PS on Wednesday, but any help from you ladies b4 I see him would be soooo appreciated!!!

Thanks!!!

The squeaking/popping noise is normal with saline and diminishes with time and can happen any time up to the first 2-3 months from what people have said.

Actually, you usually CAN tell much better how you are progressing wiht photo's

If you had a size difference pre or right after then you would have one now.

You might feel it is a little on one side down due to possibly the one side settling into place more.

With leaking you will notice the breast getting smaller over a month.

I have "before" pics taken with a cellphone (I don't have a digital cam!), and I will take current pics so that I can at least start a pic profile on the MMH site and I can get everyone's opinion...I promise to work on that!

Does it matter at all that I am right-handed? Also, I didn't notice a difference immediately after surgery, but do you think it could be that I just was so shocked at seeing boobs on my chest for the first time in my life that I just didn't notice? I was just so overjoyed to have SOMETHING up top I wasn't even bothered by the fact that my nipples pointed downward for a few days. LOL!!!

One more thing...the popping/squishing I'm referring to isn't an actual noise (I heard all that for the first week after surgery, then it went away altogether)...it's more of a "feeling". Don't quite know how to explain it - it's just the manner in which the implants seems to "give" when I press on the outer edge of my right breast, pushing in towards my ribcage/torso area. I dont even know if I'm making sense when trying to explain this... (((sigh))) Maybe I'm just being waaaay too sensitive abot the whole thing, bc in all honesty I still think they look dynamite. Oh, well...

I do appreciate all your help/expertise. You should know that I tend to be a bit of a worrywart. Ha-ha... ;o)

When did you have the surgery? You say you had it a month ago on 11/1, but 11/1 was much more than a month ago. And, your post is timestamped as being posted today.
