Default Two questions......anyones thought???

Question I forgot to ask in my post op visit on Monday

First.....why is it that the implants after surgery look so HIGH UP??? I know I hear about the implants needing to drop but why is this???

Second.......I am getting my teeth cleaned the day before surgery......will this be a problem???

when going under many Dr's place the implants very high up..higher then when they will end up being. I don't know why they do this myslf and have always wondered. I just know they do it. Possibly because the muscle is so tight and they need to make a pocket and sew the bottom of the pocket?. Anyway..they are usually "up in the throat" area is how many describe them and until the chest wall muscle stretches out and relaxes the implant cannot drop into place.

LOL about the teeth..should not be a problem unless you don't floss regularly (g)

I think they put them high up to give them room to clean everything up, and also so that it comes out looking right after everything stretches out. Maybe if they put them right in the middle it would stretch that area out too much.
