Hi! I was just wondering if anyone out there has had an areola reduction. In addition to my upcoming BA, I will be undergoing an areola reduction {for just the right side} to correct asymmetry. I'm hoping that the scarring won't be too bad. Thanks!

FirmHottie had it done. If you jump over to the TummyTuck forum you can see he photos. They look great! I'm having the same thing done in Feb 2006 with a FTT.
PrettyButterfly P.S. If you have really dark skin they don't recommend it because the scarring can be bad. Do a search on the search engines for Areola Reduction Surgery and you will see before and after photos. |

Yep, I had it done to both of my aerolas to correct overly large, noncircular, and assymetrical aerolas. My PS used a tool called a cookie cutter to cut them both down to the proper size and shape, and put them back on after he was finished placing my implants. I believe that he used a few internal stitches, but then taped the outside. At four months post-op, you can barely see the scars, and I'm so happy that I did it!
I've got before and after pics if you want to see the difference for yourself. |

I had areola reduction with my BL/BA in June 2004. I cannot even see the scars around the areola. You can check out the pics here, album is "beachbum6264":

I don't see how they can cut down the areola without leaving very noticable scars, because the areola is right out there. It's amazing.
