Post Implants rupture all of the time.

Implants do not burst as frequently as anti-breast implant activists want you to believe. They are very strong, you can punch them and pull them and stomp on them and throw them against the wall and they will not pop. We are actually getting some implants and conducting tests of our own pretty soon. They actually test implants by squeezing them (quite roughly) between two metal plates at 200 compressions per minute for a total of 2 million times. Of course not the particular one that they put inside of you, random ones in the lot. But if you think about it, since you breathe about 30,000 times a day (the zeroes are correct) and then divide the compression times into the breath amounts it calculates into 2 million compressions about every 66 days. Think about it, these measly breathing compressions are nothing compared to the severe squeezing by the tests. Implants last for quite some time. And even if it does rupture, your implant is covered as is a portion of your surgery. Check with the surgeon at the consultation about his replacement stipulations, and get it in writing before handing over the money. Just looking out for your best interest.

Thanks for the tip! It would be a shame if someone's implant ruptured and then they found out a replacement surgery wasn't covered.

I watched an episode of Dr. 90210 where the doctor literally slammed an implant against the wall...pretty much threw it as hard as he could and it remained intact. It definitely makes me feel a lot better about it.
