19. Can I get very large implants with TUBA?

Yes you can. In fact less wound closure problems are experienced with endoscopic incisions not centralized on the breasts since no pressure is exerted on the suture lines, because well, you have none on the breasts. Large breast implants can be a problem on standard incisions lines due to the size that is needed to allow insertion of very large sized implant prostheses. Plus like I said before, the amount of pressure that is exerted on the wounds may open them back up or stretch them. This can result in very thinned and enlarged scars or a need for scar revision or incision line trimming if they do not adhere. Remember scar tissue has 80% the strength as the surrounding undamaged/unaltered skin and if something is going to stretch, it will be your scars if no permanent sutures are used.

I saw this procedure done on Dr. 90210. It's one of my favorite shows, of course. I thought it was pretty awesome how the procedure was done and how little bruising there was..and scarring, which is big for me.
