Any time tissues are cut there is scarring, so a revision could leave more scarring. There is no way to know just how much, it depends on so many things.

They generally try to cut near the same original scars. Depending on how long since the original procedure was done, scarring itself may not have actually occurred yet, and therefore they may be able to open up the wound side-by-side without any real extra scarring happening.
