Default constipated, anastesia?

ok my spelling is not that great. But my surgery was last thursday. The last time I went to the bathroom was last wednesday. It wasn't bothering me before but last night I bought and took some laxatives and they only helped a little. To be honest I litterly feel like there is a human head down there...lol sorry to be so grafic but I am in pain here anyone have suggestions?

I had the same prob. I had surg. last Monday and finally had a small BM on Friday. Was starting to feel like I had when I came home from the hospital after having my babies!
I have a prescription for Colace, which is a stool softener, that I am still taking. I really make an effort to eat lots of fruits and veges and drink LOTS of WATER! I also took a laxative, generic Correctal I think, that moved things along yesterday quite a bit.
Hang in there, this too shall pass.

After many stool softeners and prunes, I tried Milk of Magnesia and it worked like a charm. Good luck

The pain killers cause this problem also. Make sure you increase the fiber in your diet. I find that laxatives make me feel like puking. Prune juice was a good idea too. Eat lots of ceral like Oatmeal Squares, Bran, etc. you get the picture.

Good luck. You will eventually get back to normal.

Luckily, that effect will go away.

I like to drink apple juice rather than water.
