Default general anesthesia recovery time--help!

Hi everyone. I had my surgery on ll-16, and am doing great in regards to the actual BR. But, I still feel "foggy" and "slow" mentally, kind of like I am in a cloud, with somewhat slower thinking. I don't feel dizzy, nauseaus, or anything like that, just slow. Is this normal? Or is it taking too long? I am kind of worried about it, and at the same time trying to realize that it's only been six days....What do you all think? Has anyone else felt this way? Thanks.

I felt exactly the same way - dizzy in my head and forgetful. It was not the RX as I only took then for 4 days p/o not because I was a hero rather as I wasn't in pain.

My foggy head dissapated slowly - more good minutes and hours each day until I'd forgotten about it. I think about 8-10 days before it left me completely.

Don't try to do too much brain work like crossword puzzles or complicated holiday lists and it will just exasperate you - it did me

I felt the same way. I think it was the anti-inflamatory meds that I was on. Day 8 post-op (2 days after last med)my head cleared up. Are you still taking anything?

No anti-biotics or anti-inflammatory meds?

Those feeling come from all the medication involved in the procedure and recovery. It is natural and will go away.
