Scar revision is required only for the 15-20 percent of the breast augmented patient. Scar revision is performed after the body has had time to heal itself (usually 1 year or or so after the initial trauma). An important point is that the scar revision can be performed in a small nursing home under local anesthetic, allowing you to go home soon after the procedure.
