Hi all. I'm 3 months post op (4800 ccs removed from inner/outer/front thighs, abs, hips and flanks) and am curious about the process of skin shrinking. I've read it can take a year or more to see how the skin will end up since skin takes the longest to transform, but what was your experience at different stages? 3, 6, 9, 12 months - were you noticing your skin shrinking?
Prior to surgery, I was mainly concerned with having too much ab skin after fat was removed (thought I may even need a tuck), but my abs are tightening up well. I'd like to see more tightening in my outer and front thighs. I can grab some skin in some deflated areas and I'm seeing some waviness ... both in areas where PSs said I had excellent skin elasticity. I see my PS next week, so I'll let you know what he says. |

I didn't see any skin tightening after I stopped wearing the garment at 6 weeks PO. The wrinkling or dimpling that I saw basically stayed with me. Pilates has definitely helped me with tightening my abs but my inner thighs do need a mini-thigh lift as the lipo left me with some loose wrinkled skin and there's no hope of it tightening up. I had my first lipo a year ago and just completed my 2ns set of revisions on 11/21.

I had issues with cellulite before my lipo 2500cc's lower abs, i/o thighs, flanks and hips. My thighs are 3" smaller than before lipo and I am happier with the overall result as I fit better in clothing, but now I am having a extended tummy tuck to remove loose skin and may end up going all the way around lbl and mini thigh lift at some point. I am 46 years old.

I am 9 months PO from lipo u/l abs/i/o thighs/hips/flanks, and I noticed that the first month (while wearing my garment) I was pretty good, however, when I took it off I felt "jiggly"....I have good skin tone, 3 kids no stretch marks and no loose skin at all. I think some of this plays a factor, maybe genetic, however, I did notice that the skin seems "tighter" when I went back to wearing the garment at about 5 mos or so...but it does take time, and walking, diet and exercise helps.

I am 11 months post op from saddblebag lipo. (outer thighs) and unfortunately the last time I saw any tightening of the skin would have been around 6 to 8 weeks post op. Its actually gotten looser or I am just more paranoid of it. It all depends on your skin.

I think a lot of people need to get lifts, because their skin won't tighten fully on its own.
