I've got to ask this because it's driving me mad . How long, in your experience, did the tip take to "unswell"? Did it reduce progressively over the post-op months?
I still think mine makes my nose look longer that I would like it to be but I have high hopes that it will get smaller with time (I'm only two weeks post op). Any thoughts on this? Can I realistically expect my nose to be a bit shorter than it is at the moment? |

I think you get a prize for the most FAQ. It can depend on whether you have thin or thick skin. Thick skin takes longer. I'm 6 months and have just seen a bit of a change in my tip although my skin is thin. It can take up to a year or even more. But I'm not sure how much the swelling is visible to anyone else but you after a few weeks. It can also go go down and then be back in the morning.
You could lay off wine, Chinese food, salt etc. On the other hand you could just live a little and stop obsessing. But i realise you won't believe me and will want lots of other opinions. :-) |

Maybe you could set up a poll to try and find out the average recovery time.
The amount of your recovery will depend on what you have done. The more work to be done in your nose, the longer it will take to recover. Your surgeon can give you the most exact estimate. |
