Default Skin color change during Pregnancy

Is it normal to have your skin darken during the 7 th month of pregnancy?? I have noticed some parts of my body turning dark in color like neck, underarms etc.

Some women experience changes in skin color. Hormones play a huge role with skin color. Some changes receded once the child is weaned. Others remain but shouldn't be troublesome.

As far as I know, pregnancy can do wonders and also can change your body in a very radical way. I only know one person, my girlfriend, who got her body back the way it was before pregnancy. Not even stretch marks!

Thats really good to get back to original shape after pregnancy. I didn't put on weight and people around just stare at my tummy and some came up and said we didn't expect you were pregnant and were wondering why the hell you walking so slow, I am in my 8th month now but none could make out that I am expecting looking at my back, haha. I hope I get back my tummy to shape after delivery.

The willingness to accept the changes associated with pregnancy is too important to ignore. We are now so far removed from what is "normal" with the female body that women are made to feel ashamed of their natural state and males are encouraged to seek an unreasonable ideal.

There is no better way to keep a group of people oppressed than to teach them that their body's natural state is undesirable.

SageMother, I don't think that the point you made could have been made more eloquently. A large part of being pregnant is the willingness to accept the natural changes that will occur in your body, without being ashamed.
